First blog @ Garden Stew

Category: Spring 2010 | Posted: Thu Mar 11, 2010 3:51 am

Ok here it goes. I have been blooging about my Orchard/Garden on another web site. I found this Web Site (GardenStew) last night while googling 'Quinault Strawberries. I must have spent 4 hours here looking at the Forums and reading others blog's. I like this ,They have Spell Check.

44* windy with drizzle.

Today I got 125 tires from Brent (My stepson) they range in size from 13's to 18's or Datsun to Kennworth size, lol. you might be thinking "What in the heck is he going to do with all those tires?" well they are going along my fence line. Mostly to keep our dogs Toby & Nikita from digging under the fence and running down the road . Nikita is good at that.
Some I am going to use as Planters for Tomatoes and other veggies. I have a good Sawz-All with carbide blades to cut through the steel belts. I am planning on picking up a truck load of well seasoned horse Compost from Black Lake. mix it with Vermiculite and peat moss and fill the tires with it, and plant. some are also going around the windbreak trees (Hybrid Poplar)

Congratulations on your first blog entry!! I would love to see some photographs of Toby and Nikita and your garden. We do soooo love pictures here at GardenStew.
I hope the tyres do their job and stop Nikita running off.
