Backyard garden at our new house

Category: Our new backyard | Posted: Mon Apr 21, 2014 6:32 pm

The backyard at our new house was almost non existent due to huge unruly brushes and trees. The area has so much potential that I couldn't not do anything about it.

And then we bought a saw and the husband got interested :-)

4/20 :
I forget the names of the new plants that I am getting so listing them here. I planted these today:
1 Bergenia cordifolia
1 Erysimum Gold

4/21 :
Whole lot of cleaning done. Put a path and planted some more. Even though there are no blooms yet, I can visualize how the garden will look when everything is mature and blooming. Today I planted 'Speedwell 'Sunny Border Blue' Veronica', 1 more iris, and the Oregano. This is how it looks today :

4/22/14 : added two 'erysimum coral glow'
4/24/14 : added a purple dianthus. It is flowering and planted it on one side of the path. Lowes didn't have another one this color. I am really looking forward to finding another one of the same color to go on the other side of the path.forward to

Very nice. It is funny what happens when you give a man a saw. Can't wait to see it later in the summer.

Looking lovely. It will be spectacular when all the new plants fill in.
