A post not worth the time you'll spend reading it.I did some thing today that I don't often do, I watched a movie on TV with sub titles. I find, at least for me, the time spent reading sub titles takes too much away from the movie. But this time I found the movie delightful. I watched a Swedish movie, "My life as a dog". I tell this tale, --- I wonder just why I'm telling this tale, I know our host in Sweden, is from Ireland, and is studying the Swedish language, and may likely read the sub titles too, were he inclined to watch this film. The more I write the more I wonder why I'm continuing to write??? I think I should just hit "Delete" and try to write something about gardening, or post some pictures, or??? Yet here I am continuing to pound away at this keyboard. I'm sure that by this point I have lost most of the audience that came here because of the title. Title, what in the world should I call this? " A post not worth the time you'll spend reading". That will bring in the curious, but I'm sure I'll lose them fast. Maybe this is my feeble attempt at a movie review, and in that case, I'll end this by saying it was an enjoyable file, and if you get a chance, and don't mind sub titles, you might enjoy it too. Just don't sit down and write about it. Tom This blog entry has been viewed 609 times

Kinda lonely up there in the wilderness is it Tom? :)
The title hooked me right in! As a lot of the programming here is English there are a lot of subtitles to read here (dubbing is non-existent, yay!). I am very used to reading the subtitles by now and the best thing is that they improve your language skills no end.
Tom's blog entry has been read by me. All of it, and it gave me a laugh. :) Us Norwegians are also used to subtitles, since there's little or no dubbing here. You get used to them.
I just want to clarify my "dubbing is non-existent" comment, it does actually exist for children's programmes and only because they can't read yet! :)
I am as curious as a cat so you bet I read your blg all the way through and had a good laugh as I sure needed one this morning.Enjoyed it cpmpletely Tom.
Ditto, enjoyed the humor and am intriqued by your movie review. Will have to see if it is available. :)
