it's worth the wait!wow! i had to wait for two years to get one of these flowers to bloom again. when i bought this plant which i was told was called ripsalis - there were one or two buds on it. it bloomed and then nothing. last year, there were the beginning of a few buds, but some hoppers ate them up. so, i had to wait for another year.and..... here goes! the bud ( photo / image / picture from greenfairy's Garden ) opening up ( photo / image / picture from greenfairy's Garden ) there is one more! thanks eileen & sjoerd. thanks for the name. i got another name also for this, schlumbergera truncata ( crab cactus) there was a lot of discussion on the name of this plant last time i posted it, if you remember. but anyway, it is a beautiful plant and... what's in a name!

With each flowering plant there is the expectation of blossoms. When they first appear we watch them more closely. Nature rewards us with the beauty of flowers.
