Did I Tell You Spring is Coming! So this morning as I stepped out onto the deck to stick my face in the one small area of sunshine we had at the time, I neglected to note that there was a layer of frost on the deck. It can be deceptive at this time of year. Down I went. Feet out in front of me like I purposely deigned to sit that way, my rear on the ground now wet and throbbing, and of course my coffee (oh my wonderful morning coffee) went flying high in the air. And even though it hurt, I smiled. This February frost means spring is just around the corner. The deceptiveness of this February frost means that daylight savings time is not far away which means spring is just around the corner and my yard, my precious sanctuary, will be bathed in the warm sunshine. This means spring is just around the corner. My yard looks like a brown, barren desert. yet, if you look hard enough, you will see little green things sticking their noses out of the ground to reach for the short morning sunshine as it crosses the mountains. This means spring is just around the corner. The trees have little tiny buds on them and you can tell they want so desperately to open to that precious sunshine. Oops, hope the tushy feels better soon :)
I like your optimism! I, too have faith that spring WILL come! (even though we still have a lot of snow )
Had we had a winter I would feel the same way. We had two weeks in December that were miserably cold and a small amount of snow that never stayed on the ground. Oh well, did I tell you spring is coming!
I hope you are ok Kay. Where we live we encourage our dogs to bark - even at our neighbors. Let's me know someone is around. I'm home alone alot and they are big babies but the world doesn't know that. Sheer size alone usually makes a stranger back up but put their bark in the mix and I'm safe.
Ouch! I know how you feel, I have fallen twice this season. Once carrying a 3 gallon pot of hot water, which when it hit the ground (about the same time I did) splashed out its contents on me. Hurry spring!!
I hope you weren't burned desertflower. Fortunately, my coffee went one way while I went another. Thank you frost. Daylight savings time is a little over two weeks away. Hooray! For me that means spring sunshine. Login or register to leave a comment. |
