Squirrels just wanna have fun!I was having lunch, watching the birds at the feeder when I noticed one of our pesky gray squirrels eyeing the feeder. I decided to watch him for a few minutes before I chased him off. I think I can, I think I can... ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) That was my break from decorating the Christmas tree, back to work. Anybody watching? ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Now comes the tricky part... ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) My Mother was an acrobat ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) I'm losing my grip ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Second attempt ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Maybe this will work better ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Finally, that pesky squirrel is gone! ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) That was my break, back to decorating the Christmas tree. This blog entry has been viewed 425 times

I remember when my kids were little and they found 6 baby squirrels in the back yard. They nursed them and soon I had an entire yard full of 'bushy tailed rats' eating every bird seed I put out. One managed to get into my attic and that was the final straw between me and them.
Love it, love it, love it. You have to admire their tenacity and creative problem solving. Great series of pics.
They are amazing little creatures, and just as inovative.Excellent pics and tenacity(on your part!)
Haha, they're so cute! Well, I don't have to live with them. :D
Determined little devils aren't they?
Clever title! Great photos too.
I have some backyard squirrels that just use my squirrel baffle as a chair while they eat the seed.
Regarding picture #7 Which did he let go first, front feet or hind feet?
Great pictures...they are so funny to watch...bound and determined aren't they? Thanks for sharing your lunch and pictures with us!
Glad you all enjoyed the photos. Calomaar...I was so busy snapping photos I wasn't paying attention to his feet. He shimmied up that pole faster than I could snap the photos. Next time I need to put it in sports mode.
Squirrels seem to have the acrobatic moves down pat. At my house, they like to get into my orange tree and chew on the oranges.
I really love to watch squirrels. They are so comical. Login or register to leave a comment. |
