Happy Father's Day

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sun Jun 18, 2017 9:42 pm

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
Hope you received a call from your children because so far NONE of my Children know I'm alive.
My Dad has been gone for years and I know his resting place but I can't get there.
Hope the weather is ok with you as its 94 outside and 82 inside and I'll bet you friends can't guess where Frick & Frack are.
The fracks are behind a shade which cools it off a little and I mist them with water and also there is a breeze.
Well friends its time for me to get my TV dinner ready.
Sleep cool
Ed

I think its Summer

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sun Jun 11, 2017 4:49 pm

Well friends I think Summer is here as its 90 outside and its not even 12 noon.
Thanks to everyone who helped me with my plant problem.
The parakeets just love it outside and they don't want
to come inside at bed time.
I cleaned the cage like I do every Sunday and today as you can see in the pictures I added their bird bath to keep them busy.
By Wednesday they expect the weather to be a little cooler just in time for my Birthday.
Well keep cool and don't do what I did yesterday cook dinner in the oven.
Sleep cool

Hi again from a wet new jersey

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Wed May 31, 2017 8:14 pm

Hi friends hope you had a good Memorial Day as it was horrible here with rain and cool.
Computer has kept me busy as its been broken most of the month.
And I think I'm killing my plants and flowers with to much water because since I cut back watering my cactus's.
My Boston fern I'm not sure but I took some pictures so you can judge.
The Parakeets are outside because I can't take the screaming when they are inside.
Don't know what I will do in Winter.
Also in wildlife out back we have 2 deer and a Mommy turkey with 7 babies.
Now to the pictures.

Hi Friends

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Tue May 09, 2017 4:09 pm

Well friends I thought I'd never get back here.
On Saturday I push some buttons on the computer and erased almost 1/2 the memory on the computer.
Not sure about my garden this year as I have 2 tomato plants and some lettuce plants which have been watered and sun but they are so small.
My parakeets are doing great and are outside enjoying themselves.
Frank it seams I fixed my logon problem.
Oh and not much sleep for a week as the carnival is in town (or I will sleep in the living room.
Take care and sleep warm.

Hi from the Warm New Jersey

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Tue Apr 11, 2017 7:15 pm

Its been some time since I've been here and while im resting from the work I did this Morning and also I have a question and some pictures for you.
This morning it was chilly here but its 83 now and the noisy ones are outside.
I have a 5 gallon pail (as you can see in the photo) which I plan to grow my tomato plants and that is the question. The type of plant is called Patio and it says it can be planted in a container but there is 2 plants in that pot.
So can I plant the 2 plants in the orange bucket?
Most of the wildlife has returned plus a Rabbit.
If I don't chat with you before Sunday have a Happy Easter.
Now to the pictures and sleep warm.

Welcome to a crazy New Jersey

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Wed Mar 15, 2017 7:37 pm

Well friends its been crazy here in New Jersey, first we were told to expect between 8-12" of snow and it started the night before with rain.
All day it was ice, rain and a little snow.
Now cold we have at 27 now with high winds.
It doesn't bother me except when I have to walk somewhere,BUT
It is driving the Keets crazy.
They went the other day of high 60's to a lovely 27 and they see the sun and think they can go outside and when I won't let them all they do is scream VERY LOUD.
That all from the frozen NJ

What a quick Summer

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sun Feb 26, 2017 3:51 am

Hi friends its 10:30 and the babies are asleep.
We had some crazy weather today.
We started this morning with some sunshine and nice temps.
I'm trying to get the balcony ready for the summer because I tried to use the umberella from last summer but it almost blew away the other day.
The office will help with getting my balcony ready for me to install the shade.
The babies are asleep and Im going to join them.
Sleep warm.

President's Day

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Mon Feb 20, 2017 6:32 pm

Hi friends and welcome to a crazy Presidents Day in New Jersey.
The weather has been crazy but I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
The keets can't figure what's up as one day they can go out and the next day they can't.
The picture was taken 3 weeks ago and yesterday was 72 and beautiful.
And speaking of yesterday when I opened the front of the apartment I say my first Robin for this year.
