I want a new drug.I have an addiction. It's not easy to come to terms with one's self and admit such a thing, but it's time I get this off of my chest. This thing has become such a controlling force in my life, and I'm afraid I can't deal with it any more. I think about it constantly. I crave it incessantly. I can't get enough. My affliction is.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . FIRE! . . . . . . . . . . . . In the form of HOT SAUCE, that is. I put it on everything. Eggs, chips, sandwiches, fries, chicken, everything. I've even found myself putting a coupla shakes on my salad. I dunno what to do. Should I seek counselling? Professional help? The local Hot Sauce Anonymous group? I'm afraid this consumption has morphed into seeking out other sources of heat. I'm now freebasing with peppers. Whole peppers. (I know, I'm on a fast path to a rehab clinic for sure). And it doesn't end there. One day, in a capsaicin induced haze, I found myself boiling habaneros in vinegar and pureeing the mash in my blender. I'd even add Worcester sauce....sometimes soy sauce! (I know, I'm hurting myself with this self-destructive habit). Just this morning as I was searching for the right flavor of hot sauce to add to my eggs, I counted my stash. Twenty-two bottles of hot sauce! I need help. Last edited: Fri Jul 07, 2006 2:34 pm This blog entry has been viewed 719 times

HAHAH! You sound like my hubby! Some ppl just like that "Fire in mouth, burns all the way down and stomache burst into flames" kind of feeling.
Man you are my long lost twin! Hot, hot ,hot that is my motto (ok not really but you get the idea). I'm suddenly very hungry. Now where is the nearest kebab place...?
Ya'll need serious help. Heat is not for me by way of stomach .It would kill me .Some people love it .My hubby did he would eat hot pepper and sweat roll down his face.Never understood it .Maybe its a man thing !Ya think?
People used to line up bringing hot peppers to DR when he was working. They never found one that was too hot for him to eat. My youngest son is into hot pepper sauce. Try Tasbasco Chipolte Sauce. It's not super hot, but delicious. Dooley
I have it. It's good, but there is better! Have him try this one if he likes the smokey flavor: http://www.firegirl.com/hs1114.html
I will tell him. Our son has a poster in his kitchen with bottles of all different hot sauces on it. His kitchen canisters, etc have hot red peppers on them. Even his kids like hot and they are 4 and 8 yrs. Dooley Login or register to leave a comment. |
