A home for Bees

Category: Happenings around the house | Posted: Wed Apr 18, 2012 2:28 pm

I would like to thank member Marlingardens for all her information and encouragement with my new project. It looks like we now have a hive of honeybees! They are actively carrying pollen into the hive, and this means that they are building brood. The queen is laying eggs and they are feeding babies! I am so excited! My cousin has given us plans so we can build more boxes and frames. My DH is a carpenter by trade, so I am lucky. I hope to have more bees in the future! They sure are fun to watch!

So glad Jane could help you out. Isn't it exciting to have a new hobby!! My neighbour keeps honeybees and I've often thought of having a couple of hives myself. I look forward to your updates on how your hive is doing.
