How the Cherkee Boys become men
Category: This is for Silver Wolf | Posted: Thu Dec 28, 2006 7:03 pm I found this and thought this would go with Silver Wolfs Visons quiet well. "We Are Never Alone" Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of passage? His dad takes him into the forrest.. blindfolded.. and leaves him.... alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night... and not take off the blindfold until the ray of sun shines through it. He is all by himself. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night..he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience. Each lad must come into his own manhood. The boy was terrified... he could hear all kinds of noise... Beasts were all around him. Maybe even some human would hurt him. The wind blew the grass and earth... and it shook his stump. But he sat stoically.. never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could be a man. Finally, after a horrific night.. the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he saw his father.. sitting on the stump next to him... at watch... the entire night. We are never alone. Even when we do not know it, our Father is protecting us... An update on Heather
Category: Update on Heather | Posted: Sun Dec 03, 2006 8:18 am Heather was not give any food are water yesterday are last night. Then this morning they gave her breakfast scrambled egg and toast and some kind of hot cereal. She started getting sick and they put her to sleep. She kept it down and for lunch same thing except lunch she din't get sick and tonight .They have been giving her something to slow her stomach down plus keeping her sedated. It seems to be training her stomach to except food are water again. Stopping the gag reaction.I pray it continues to work. Oh and Trey was there today but didn't get to stay long as he kept trying to mess with her IV buttons and calling the nurses and just being all boy that he is so needless to say his stay was quiet fast lol. The Dr. is hopeing he can let her go home with her new medicine. She has had lots of sleep and I think that was also part of her problem as she would gag and wake her up so was up night and day. Will post more tomorrow.
