Guess What I Get To Do Today...........................

Category: Family and Everyday Life | Posted: Mon Jul 03, 2006 1:19 pm

take my 14 year old daughter to the mall. Ugh!!!!! For one thing, she spends way too much of my money. It takes her forever, she wants to look in every shop and try stuff on, then she decides to go back to the first place she looks to buy something. I hope I can keep my cool, but I am tired and just don't feel like doing this. She leaves for church camp this Saturday, so she has to have some new stuff and this is the only day we can go.

One bright spot, I get to stop at Home Depot on the way back. Then it will be her turn to say, "Oh come on Mom, hurry up, I'm tired and want to go home." Maybe I will look through the whole store and then go back and buy the first thing I looked at.

I'm glad I only had boys. They are like DR. Buy it and leave. No one likes to shop with me, but DR does come and help me choose. I wonder if he helps me just to get out of the store. Good luck! Maybe she'll find something right off. Dooley

I do totally understand ,I had a little girl like that now she isn't real pickie but it takes a few stores.
Doesn't cost me now so she watches what she spends.:)

Oh boy do I sympathise as my daughter is just the same. I get my own back by trailing her around garden centres!!!

My oldest daughter loved to shop for clothes, shoes and things. She could spend the day and my annual salary at the mall.

But my youngest is so NOT like that. She owns one pair of sneakers (you can only wear one pair at a time so why have more besides sneakers really do go with everything, she wore them to her Senior prom), two pairs of jeans (not one to wear when the other is dirty, one to wear until she can find the other one in the bottom of her closet), one pair of shorts and about 15 T-shirts. During high school her wardrobe only increased once a year when the orchestra (she played violin) t-shirts went on sale.
