I Am So Pis, Oops I Mean Mad

Category: Family and Everyday Life | Posted: Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:00 am

Sorry, I really hate that word. A couple of days ago a lady I work with, who lives in French Settlement also, stopped at the local store. Inside was a box of little puppies with a free puppies sign, the cashier had found them in front of the store that morning when she opened up.

Well tonight we went to pic DD #1 up at the school gym. She had to work concessions for the basketball game. By the gym door, a box of seven puppies with a free puppies sign on it. I am very upset about this. I called a friend just now that was at the game, they took one and there was 3 left when she went home. Richard is going to ride up there to make sure they all got taken.

I sure would like to find the person doing this and kick their a.... up into their shoulder blades.

Why do those people breed those dogs in the first place. Have they not heard of spaying and neutering?? I agree with the a$$ kicking.

Hooray, Richard and Regina just called from checking and all of the puppies were gone. I am glad they all got taken, hopefully to good homes, but it still irks me that some heartless slob could do such a thing.

Hey Jan, if I find them I will call you and we can both kick A.., ok.

No excuse for it, there are low-cost spay and neuter clinics all over the place.

Just let me know if you find out who did this heartless dumping and I'll help you kick a$$ too - I have big feet so they should leave a good impression. I really hope that all the puppies have found loving, caring homes.

That is very sad.

Whenever my dog has pups i call a local mennonite and they take the puppies and give them all their shots and then they find new homes for them.
There is no excuse for neglecting animals.

Seems it is easier for some folks not to see to their dogs but just to box up the puppies and drop them off somewhere. After all it IS cheaper. These puppies should never have been born in the first place :(

Nothing makes me more angry then irresponsible pet owners!

Most everyone in French Settlement has really big hearts, I knew they would come through and all the pups would find homes. But we would not have been able to sleep if we hadn't went back to check and make sure. But if I do find out who did it I'll let y'all know and we will have on big a.. kicking party.

In full agreement with all of the above.

In our area, it irks me beyond belief that we have no animal codes, rules or laws. People put their dogs on chains in the dirt. No shelter, no shade. I've called the officials on many a dog chained to a tree in sweltering heat or freezing weather.

In this section, they consider a dog on a chain a right. A trophy. To protect their meth labs, a half dozen Rotties on chains, mean as can be.

Cats and dogs roaming freely, run over on the street. No problem, just grab another one outside the store when you go for a loaf of bread.

It disgusts me.

As we are limited on characters, another post. :-)

Prime example of such behavior, our neighbors. Can't afford to spay and neuter, but they can darn sure afford dip, cigarettes and hundreds of dollars in fireworks to blast at all hours of the night for yuck yuck fun.

(rolls eyes)

Wuvie, sounds like you live in Livingston Parish. It is the same here. Our neighbors have lived here for 5 years and have had countless dogs, some they paid good money for, and cats that always end up having their kittens at my house. I have had 3 of their cats spayed and still have two cats from one litter, plus the moms.
