Pianolady's Gardens
House Foundation Garden
Category: Pianolady's Gardens | Posted: Wed May 22, 2013 5:34 pm This is one area I really enjoy, as it's where we removed all the bushes along the foundation. I've not hidden that I really dislike that look, and every house I've ever bought had it (and was always removed with my truck and chain). This is the look I'm referring to: House when we bought it. May 17 Blooms
Category: Pianolady's Gardens | Posted: Fri May 17, 2013 9:12 pm The tall bearded iris are starting to bloom! I don't know the names on most of these, some are quite old. This blog entry has been viewed 389 times
My Happy Mother's Day
Category: Pianolady's Gardens | Posted: Sun May 12, 2013 3:32 pm Our son graduated from college yesterday, and is home for a few days before moving to his new city and job later this week. That's the best Mother's Day ever. While everyone is sleeping in, I did a quick walkaround to see what was blooming today. We are a full month behind from normal years. The last of the dwarf iris is about to fade, and the tall bearded iris is about to bloom...coming soon! This blog entry has been viewed 382 times

Show Choir 2013
Category: Everything Piano | Posted: Sat May 04, 2013 3:00 am I took a 2nd job this school year playing for a high school vocal department. I rather enjoy being the pianist instead of the director. It's nice not having a lot of responsibility above my pay grade, I just get to go home an not worry about it. Finally Spring! Part 2
Category: Pianolady's Gardens | Posted: Mon Apr 29, 2013 5:19 pm The row of daffodils is in bloom, I actually remembered to snap a pic before they all wilted this year. Tulips are almost ready to bloom too. Spring Blooms ( photo / image / picture from Pianolady's Garden ) Last edited: Mon Apr 29, 2013 5:19 pm This blog entry has been viewed 294 times
It's Finally Spring!
Category: Pianolady's Gardens | Posted: Sun Apr 21, 2013 7:49 pm And what marks spring for me? The ordering of heirloom seeds and mowing the yard for the first time. This year's seed order included dragon carrots, Provider Beans, and Royalty Purple Pod Beans, none of which I've grown before. The rest will have to wait for warmer weather, as I don't start my tomatoes or peppers from seed. It will be late May before I'll put those out. A trip to the big nurseries for those unusual tomato varieties will be at the top of my to-do list. Cleaned the brush out of all the front gardens today, felt good to have enough warmth to work outside! Still have much to do out back, including the tall ornamental grasses need cut. That'll be for another day. I'm looking forward to a summer with no contractors at my house this year, that will be very nice! This blog entry has been viewed 346 times
Another Clearance Score!
Category: Off Topic | Posted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 5:27 pm I feel so off topic lately, but the bargains just keep finding me. Checked Target this morning for any electronics markdowns, and there sat a Gateway 15.6" laptop for $95.04, and I had a 5% off coupon plus 5% cash back. Yes, I brought it home and will replace my obsolete piano studio computer (and get a tax write off too!). In case you want to try to track one down (do it today or forget it!), the DCPI was 080-11-0017 This blog entry has been viewed 469 times
