Good summer with the birds.

Herons fishing trip.
Category: My wildlife images | Posted: Sat Aug 04, 2012 6:17 pm This heron caught this large fish, dropped it on the beach and then speared it and picked it up again. It did this a few times before swallowing it. Took lots of pics.

A few bears.
Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Sat Jun 30, 2012 6:56 pm Had a good trip to Waterton National Park in Alberta. Took a few wild flowers pictures, 44 new ones. Also saw some bears, one was quite brown. They do climb trees.

Male pileated a first visit.
Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Mon Jun 04, 2012 7:45 pm I have had 4 regular woodpeckers calling and three of them I had the male and female. The pileated though, I only had the female till today, the male arrived. I had my camera handy though and took a couple of pictures

Three different junco's.
Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Sat Apr 07, 2012 10:29 pm Althou they are all bunched into one name now, Dark eyed Junco's, they are different to me. Here are three that I have on the deck. The slate colored is rather rare though, I usuall only see one and not very often. The others are, Pink sided and the Oregon Junco.
